GAINESVILLE - Florida State entered Saturday night's Sunshine Showdown riding a two-game winning streak and looking to finish the regular season with a win against Florida that would have ensured the Seminoles would finish the 2019 season with a winning record.
However, the Florida offense was just too much for the FSU defense to handle and the Seminoles’ offense couldn’t match the pace set by the Gators. Florida’s 40-17 victory means FSU, now 6-6, will have to win its bowl game to finish the 2019 season with a winning record.
