First Impressions: FSU starts fast, Boise bounces back

Florida State opened its 2019 season with a 36-31 loss to Boise State Saturday afternoon. The Seminoles started the game looking like an offensive juggernaut scoring on five of its first six possessions but was rendered ineffective by Boise State in the second half.

The FSU defense struggled against the run for the entirety of the game, was good against the pass early before Broncos true freshmen quarterback Hank Bachmeier, who was pressured and inconsistent in the first half, settled down in the second half and picked apart the FSU secondary.
