First impressions: FSU not able to finish off Wake

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - FSU came into Saturday looking for an upset to get its record back above the .500 mark and gain some momentum as it entered the second half of the 2019 season.

The Seminoles overcame a 9-0 first-quarter deficit to take the lead 14-12 at the half with two second-quarter touchdowns. Neither team scored in the third quarter, and a game that figured to be a high-scoring affair instead was a defensive battle. Wake took a 19-14 lead early in the fourth quarter only to see FSU respond . . .
