Senior safety Cyrus Fagan has left the Florida State football team, a school spokesperson confirmed on Monday morning.
Fagan saw extensive playing time against Jacksonville State, recording a tackle. The defensive back was filling in as safeties like Hamsah Nasirildeen and Travis Jay are injured.
He played in eight games (starting five) in 2019 and had 41 tackles.
Fagan is the latest in more than a dozen departures for FSU football. Among those who have recently left the program: Running backs Khalan Laborn and Anthony Grant, wide receivers D.J. Matthews, TreShaun Harrison and Isaiah Bolden, tight end Tre’ McKitty, offensive linemen Jay Williams, Mike Arnold, Jauan Williams, Christian Meadows and Christian Armstrong, defensive lineman Jamarcus Chatmaan and defensive backs A.J. Lytton and Kyle Meyers.
