Deonte Williams transfers to FSU

Deonte Williams is leaving Baylor and will transfer to Florida State.

Williams had 26 tackles and a sack in the 2017 and ’18 seasons but missed last season due to an arm injury and took a medical DQ from Baylor.

The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Williams entered the transfer portal and weighed his options. The defensive end chose the same school as his father, Alphonso.

Alphonso Williams played defensive back at FSU from 1985-88, recording 99 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and an interception.
