DE Quashon Fuller departs, 10th Nole from 2019 class to transfer

Florida State backup defensive end Quashon Fuller is no longer with the team, a school spokesperson confirmed. A report by Noles247 says Fuller intends to enter the transfer portal.

Fuller played in 11 games in 2021, recording eight tackles (one for loss) and a sack. He would have been a part of the defensive end rotation this fall but he had been squarely pushed into a backup role as the Seminoles could start Jared Verse, Dennis Briggs or Derrick McLendon and have a veteran with experience back in Leonard Warner. It’s a group that also includes young linemen like Patrick Payton, Byron Turner and George Wilson.

FSU’s 2019 class included 20 prospects from the high school level, with 10 now having transferred. Among them: Jarvis Brownlee (Louisville), Dontae Lucas (South Alabama), Jaleel McRae (Florida Atlantic), Raymond Woodie III (California), Curtis Fann (Akron), Tru Thompson (Jackson State), Kevon Glenn (Georgia Southern), Ira Henry III (Memphis) and Jay Williams (Florida A&M).

The Seminoles have also lost eight transfers from a transition 2020 class
