Florida State has established its non-conference football opponents for 2022, securing home games with Louisiana and FCS program Duquesne. The Seminoles will also host Florida and play LSU in New Orleans.
FSU will play seven home games in 2022, beginning with Duquesne on Aug. 27. The school will pay a $400,000 guarantee. FSU will be able to open camp a week early and play Duquesne before facing a schedule that includes 10 teams from Power 5 conferences.
The FSU-LSU game at New Orleans will follow on Sept. 3 or 4 (a Saturday or Sunday of Labor Day weekend). FSU and LSU will each receive a $5.1 million guarantee but the schools are also obligated to sell 30,000 tickets apiece.
On Nov. 19, FSU will play host to Louisiana. FSU will pay the Ragin’ Cajuns, which plays in the Sun Belt, a $1.4 million guarantee. The Seminoles will play Florida on Nov. 26.
