Column: On Doak, NIL legislation and return to play

All three of these are sensitive topics but I'm writing this more to inform and spark discussion than to be opinionated. The first one is likely the most uncomfortable since it addresses the home of Florida State football, Doak S. Campbell Stadium.

For decades, we have walked into Doak with happy thoughts about an afternoon or evening of football – the players, the opponents, our friends in the stands, even the weather.

And there has been little reflection on the stadium’s namesake in its 70-year-history.
