Four-star linebacker Branden Jennings of Jacksonville Sandalwood has backed off his commitment to Florida State.
Jennings said he is “reopening my recruiting process,” stating in part that the pandemic has prevented him from taking visits and making the right decision on his career.
“I just don’t want to look back later in life and say that I made a hasty decision,” Jennings wrote on Twitter. “I would never want to do this behind the scenes and hurt FSU’s recruiting. They have been great. I just want to make the right decision for my future.”
Jennings was the top commitment in FSU’s class. The Seminoles have commitments from three-star linebackers Jordan Eubanks and Dequaveon Fuller.
