FSU coach Mike Norvell got some good news on the recruiting front Sunday.
Destyn Pazon, a four-star wide receiver from New Orleans (La.) Edna Kerr High, announced his top 5 schools on Sunday night and the Seminoles are included on his list. Pazon’s top 5 include FSU, LSU, Oklahoma, Florida and Alabama.
The rising senior is ranked as the 22nd-best wide receiver in the nation by 247Sports, who also rank Pazon as the sixth best overall prospect in Louisiana and the 131st best overall prospect in the nation. Pazon, 6-foot and 170 pounds, was on the FSU campus for an unofficial visit on March 7, according to 247Sports.
As a junior Pazon caught 54 passes for 1,047 yards and 14 touchdowns. According to HUDL, Pazon has been clocked at 4.32 in the 40.
The FSU football staff has used its existing relationships in Louisiana and Mississippi on the recruiting trail. FSU’s 2020 class featured Corey Wren from Harvey, La.
